What Is MyoVision Technology?

MyoVision technology uses surface electromyography (sEMG), a technique similar to an EKG for the heart. By placing small, painless electrodes on the skin, it measures muscle activity along the spine. Next, this data is analyzed to reveal muscle imbalances, guarding patterns, or areas of compensation.

How It Tracks Progress

MyoVision is often used during new patient evaluations and re-exams. “We’ve seen dramatic improvements on the re-exam scans, and it’s really good for patients because it’s visual; they can actually see what their muscles are doing in their body, and it provides what’s called a stress score. It adds up all the muscle activity readings. And so when that stress score goes down, that’s obviously a very positive thing,” says Dr. Reed.

What to Expect During a Scan
